
From assisting global corporations in communicating the benefits of mergers and acquisitions to providing strategic counsel at the White House and to Members of Congress, Taylor Gross has served in a number of senior private and public sector positions.
Prior to co-founding The Herald Group, Taylor served as a White House spokesman in the Bush Administration. Taylor previously served as a member of the President-elect’s Official Transition Office, working as Attorney General Designate John Ashcroft’s spokesman. In this position, Taylor was responsible for handling all media relations dedicated to the U.S. Senate confirmation process.
As a member of the 2000 George W. Bush for President Campaign team, Taylor served as the media coordinator for all southern states. After election night, Taylor spent the next 34 days in Florida during the historic recount effort to provide counsel on national media strategy.
As Director of Radio Media for the 2000 Republican Convention in Philadelphia, PA, Taylor was responsible for coordinating the Convention’s radio media strategy and leading his staff to liaison with over 200 radio hosts and news reporters.
On Capitol Hill, Taylor served as former U.S. Senator John Ashcroft’s (R-MO) Deputy Communications Director where he was responsible for all facets of the Senator’s daily engagement with national and state media.
His political experience began with the Bob Dole for President Campaign in 1996 and later for U.S. Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN). Taylor also served in various capacities as a producer of nationally syndicated radio and television shows, including MSNBC’s “Equal Time.”
Taylor holds a BA from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.
