Rob Haralson Joins The Herald Group

WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 17, 2013 – The Herald Group, LLC, a national bipartisan public affairs and issues management firm, today announced that Rob Haralson is joining the firm as Vice President. With more than fifteen years of public policy and communications experience in Washington, DC, Haralson will provide strategic communications and public affairs expertise, particularly in the technology policy sector, to the firm’s growing roster of corporate, industry coalition, association and non-profit clients.

“At the end of the day, The Herald Group stands out – and thus continues to grow – because of our people, their experience and their commitment to top-notch client service,” said Matt Well, a founding partner of The Herald Group. “This is what makes Rob a great fit for the firm. In the course of his career, Rob has proven himself to be a keen public affairs and communications strategist and we are eager to watch as he brings that skill and experience to bear for our clients.”

Previously, Rob was Managing Director at Chlopak, Leonard, Schechter & Associates (CLS), where he provided corporate, public affairs and crisis communications counsel to its clients.

Before joining CLS, Rob held positions at 463 Communications, a technology-focused communications consultancy with offices in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA, and the American Electronics Association (AeA). Rob also spent several years on Capitol Hill, in the House of Representatives, as Communications Director and Legislative Aide to U.S. Representative John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-TN).

“I am excited and honored to work with such a highly-regarded firm that prides itself on being nimble and providing great client service,” said Haralson. “I look forward to being part of the THG team and helping further expand the firm’s reputation as a leader in strategic communications and public affairs.”
