The Herald Group Continues Rapid Growth with the Hiring of Five new Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September1 5, 2015 – The Herald Group, LLC, a national bipartisan public affairs and issues management firm, today announced five new hires: Genny Shoemaker as Director, CC Jaeger as Senior Associate, Kate Allen as Senior Associate, Ashley Emery as an Associate and Ashley Sayers as an Associate. All will provide strategic communications and advocacy counsel to the firm’s expanding roster of corporate, industry coalition, associate and non-profit clients.

Before joining The Herald Group, Genny spent eight years on Capitol Hill as press secretary for two members of Congress, where she was responsible for creating effective messaging strategies, crafting written content, planning press events and overseeing digital media initiatives. Genny also worked in the press shop at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) during the 2010 campaign cycle, assisting Congressional campaigns across the country with communication strategies.

CC Jaeger comes to The Herald Group from SCI Foundation, an international wildlife conservation non-profit, where she managed communications and social media to educate the public on wildlife issues around the world. CC also gained experience in political communications interning with the U.S. House of Representatives and the Republican Party of Louisiana.

Prior to joining The Herald Group, Kate worked at public relations firm Raker Goldstein, managing communications and social media campaigns for clients in the consumer, healthcare, technology and lifestyle industries. Kate also interned at SIFMA, a financial industry trade group, where she dealt with policy-focused communications and marketing.

Ashley S. spent 12 months as an intern at The Herald Group before joining full-time after graduating with a degree in Public Communication and a minor in political science. She has also interned at MMI Public Relations and Shelten Media.

A recent college graduate with degrees in International Studies and Spanish, Ashley E. came to The Herald Group after interning on Capitol Hill and at the American Civil Liberties Union.
