Sharon Copeland has worked in various digital roles since 2014 supporting and training political, grassroots, and corporate groups. As The Herald Group’s Digital Account Manager, Sharon helps clients communicate strategic messages with key audiences online. She loves working to understand the mission of a client, identify what tactics will work, and efficiently educate and activate people to reach the client’s goals.
Before joining The Herald Group, Sharon worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist for Americans for Prosperity. She provided grassroots field teams across the country with holistic digital campaigns, utilizing social media, email, websites, and advertising campaigns to reach legislative, advocacy, event, and community objectives. She also worked for Generation Opportunity driving digital outreach and grassroots campaigns in Alaska, Colorado, Louisiana, and Virginia. In both of these roles, she enjoyed working with individuals from various communities and backgrounds, helping them make their voices heard, and advocate for freedom in their state capitols and in Washington.
Sharon was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska where she got to experience salmon fishing in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. She graduated from Grove City College with a major in Political Science and a minor in Economics. During her time in college, she had the opportunity to work as a research fellow under Dr. Paul Kengor during school and intern in DC and AK congressional offices during her summers.
When she’s not digging into the seemingly endless possibilities with digital communications, she enjoys painting, DIY projects, and exploring new places both around the world and in her DC backyard.
